After reading an article about GM launching a self-driving car in 2008, I came up with a few questions…

For the year 2008, I feel if GM was to release a self-driving car, it would be a little inefficient. I feel as if the software for the “brain” of the car would have multiple flaws. The article says that the car would run off of lasers and built in cameras. I think GM’s idea is great, because that is what society is continually working towards, but to release a car with those specifications this early, 2008, is very questionable.
If GM sticks to their word, and actually releases the Opel Vectra in 2008, how efficient do you think the car will be? Do you think the car will sell because of its design? or will it fail due to pessimistic minds? What do you think of the whole situation?
