I feel like you definitely don't need to make it memorable with this layout, because it would be so easy to use every time I needed it. My only suggestion...what if we could make multiple different schedules perhaps? I always wondered how I could manipulate my schedule to be the most beneficial, but it always seems like a pain to try. Could we save different schedules and pick one we liked the most? I like this idea a lot, because it makes you not need a "back button" but lets you go back to where you need to. It will add a lot of convenience for every student to find course each particular dept without having to retype them.
